Man Killed, Another Wounded in Richmond Transitional Home Stabbing

Overview

• Police found two stab victims at a Wood Place residence and took them to a hospital after a report came in about the incident, which occurred late Tuesday night.
• Martinez resident Michael Young, 59, died of his wounds and a second victim remains hospitalized in stable condition and is expected to survive.
• Richmond resident David Contreras, 30, fled the scene after the attack but turned himself in to the Concord Parole Office the next morning and was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
