Man killed after whale strikes boat off Australia

A man died and another was injured after a whale hit and flipped their boat off Sydney, Australia.
The incident happened during a fishing trip in Botany Bay near Sydney on September 30, 2023.
Officials described it as a freak accident involving a breaching whale striking or landing on the boat.
The unconscious man pulled from the water later died while the other man was hospitalized in stable condition.
Whale-related human deaths are rare in Australia, which has up to 30 whale species along its coasts.
