Man Killed After Being Run Over in Isère, Son Arrested for Suspected Murder

A 64-year-old man was found unconscious on a road in Charvieu-Chavagneux, Isère, on Friday evening and later pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators suspect the man's son, in his thirties, of ejecting him from a moving car, dragging him by the door, and running him over, according to a witness account.
The son, who was already wanted by authorities, fled to the Paris region but was apprehended by national police on Saturday.
The case is being investigated as 'murder on an ascendant' by the Vienne prosecutor's office, with the Grenoble and Bourgoin-Jallieu research brigades leading the inquiry.
Authorities believe the incident stemmed from a family dispute, as the victim had spent the afternoon with his son prior to the fatal events.
