Man in Lucknow Arrested for Killing Mother and Four Sisters Over Alleged Harassment

Arshad, 24, allegedly killed his mother and four sisters in a Lucknow hotel, claiming he acted to protect them from trafficking threats and harassment by neighbors in their hometown of Agra.
In a video recorded after the murders, Arshad detailed how he and his father carried out the killings, citing ongoing disputes over property and alleged police inaction.
The family had reportedly faced accusations of being Bangladeshi migrants and had expressed plans to convert to Hinduism to escape persecution.
Arshad stated that his neighbors, whom he accused of being part of a land mafia, planned to frame him and his father in a false case and sell his sisters into human trafficking.
Police have detained Arshad and are searching for his father, Badar, who is believed to have assisted in the murders but is currently at large.
