• The man was working beneath a car at a private Langton address when the vehicle collapsed on him just after 3 pm on June 23
• Great North Air Ambulance activated its critical care team at 3:10 pm and landed on scene by 3:21 pm to assist
• North East Ambulance Service dispatched two double-crewed ambulances and fire crews from Darlington and Newton Aycliffe attended until 3:45 pm
• Emergency responders treated the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene
• Neighbours reported seeing police cars and motorbikes speeding through the village and said the community has been left in shock
