Man Gets Community Service for Shooting Abortion Rights Campaigner

Richard Harvey was sentenced to 100 hours of community service after pleading no contest to felonious assault and firearms charges for shooting Joan Jacobson.
Harvey also received a suspended 2-month jail sentence and 1 year of probation.
He must pay $347.19 in restitution and have no contact with Jacobson.
Jacobson was campaigning against a proposed right-to-abortion amendment at Harvey's home when he shot her.
Harvey claims the shooting was accidental but Jacobson believes it was intentional following an argument between Harvey's wife and Jacobson.
