Overview
- A man was found unconscious on the Caltrain platform at 22nd Street and was pronounced dead after paramedics performed CPR Saturday morning.
- San Francisco police officers arrived to the scene at about 8:06 a.m. and the San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has opened an investigation.
- Caltrain said trains were routed through the northbound platform around 9 a.m. and that no one was struck by a train while transit police did not respond to the incident.
- Officials have not released the deceased person’s identity or the cause of death and are asking anyone with information to contact the SFPD at 415-575-4444 or use TIP411.
- The 22nd Street stop in the Dogpatch neighborhood remains under investigation and city agencies will determine cause, identity and any public-safety or service implications.
