Man Fatally Struck While Crossing Preston Highway in Okolona, LMPD Says

Overview

• The collision occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Monday in the 7300 block of Preston Highway near Minor Lane.
• Two adult men were crossing in a dark section and had reached the center turning lane when one may have stepped back into traffic.
• A vehicle traveling in the left southbound lane struck the man, who was transported to UofL Hospital and later died.
• The second pedestrian was not injured, according to Louisville Metro Police.
• LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating, no charges are expected at this time, and the victim's identity has not been released.
