Overview

• Officers responded just before 9:30 p.m. to reports of numerous gunshots near East 10th Street and Prospect Avenue.
• Police found a man suffering from gunshot wounds who died while being transported to a hospital.
• No suspect is in custody, and the victim had not been identified late Wednesday.
• The killing is counted as Kansas City’s 116th homicide of 2025, compared with 113 at this time in 2024.
