Man Fatally Shot in Western Sydney, Linked Car Fire Investigated

Police are investigating the death of a man in his 30s in Canley Heights and a nearby burning car believed to be connected.

A man in his 30s was shot dead on Sutherland Street, Canley Heights, on Sunday evening after reports of gunfire around 6:50 PM.
Emergency services attempted to treat the victim for gunshot wounds, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shortly after the shooting, a burning car was discovered in nearby Wakeley, about a five-minute drive from the shooting location.
Police believe the fatal shooting and the burning car are connected and have launched a homicide investigation into the incidents.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers as they prepare a report for the coroner.
