Man Fatally Shot in Uber Near Düsseldorf Train Station After Dispute

A 49-year-old man from Cameroon was killed following an argument over money; police are searching for three suspects involved in the incident.

The victim, a 49-year-old Cameroonian man, was shot while attempting to flee a conflict by entering an Uber vehicle near the Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof.
The altercation reportedly began outside a hotel, where the victim had a dispute with three men, allegedly over financial matters, including possible counterfeit money.
The Uber vehicle was stopped at a red light when the suspects caught up, and one of the men fired multiple shots, fatally wounding the victim.
The victim, who had a history of legal issues including fraud and illegal residency, was initially misidentified due to a fake French passport found on him.
Police have launched a murder investigation and are reviewing surveillance footage to identify and locate the suspects, who fled the scene on foot.
