Man Dies in Plane Crash After Stealing Aircraft in Texas

23-year-old Logan Timothy James flew stolen Cessna 172 over 80 miles before crashing near Texas-Oklahoma border; NTSB leading investigation.

23-year-old Logan Timothy James stole a Cessna 172 from ATP Flight School at Addison Airport, Texas.
James flew the plane more than 80 miles northeast toward Paris, Texas, before crashing it near the Texas-Oklahoma border.
The crash occurred in an open field 9 miles northeast of Telephone, Texas.
James was the only person on board and died in the crash.
The National Transportation Safety Board, with assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration, is leading the investigation.
