Man Dies Following Police Pursuit at Melbourne Shopping Centre

The man, sought by police for unresolved matters, sustained fatal injuries believed to be self-inflicted during the incident.

Victoria Police were attempting to arrest the man over outstanding matters when he fled into Lynbrook Village Shopping Centre in Melbourne's south-east.
The man was found shortly after with life-threatening injuries, which police believe were self-inflicted.
Emergency services attempted to resuscitate the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide squad detectives are investigating the circumstances of the death, with oversight from Victoria Police’s Professional Standards Command.
