Overview

• Police were called just after 9:20am to reports of a fall near Newpound Common in Wisborough Green.
• After an extensive search using neighbourhood officers, drones, search officers and dogs, a body was found in a field at about 1:50pm.
• The man had been among a group on a balloon flight traveling from Billingshurst to Dunsfold.
• Sussex Police say the incident is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
• Formal identification of the victim has not yet been completed.
