Man Confesses to Killing Mother and Four Sisters in Lucknow Hotel

Mohammad Arshad, 24, confessed to murdering his mother and four sisters in a Lucknow hotel on December 31 after sedating them with food and drinks laced with intoxicants.
The victims were identified as Asma (45), Alia (9), Alshia (19), Aksa (16), and Rahmeen (18), and police suspect no struggle occurred due to sedation.
Arshad reportedly claimed during interrogation that he acted out of fear for his family's safety, citing harassment by neighbors and unresolved disputes.
Authorities revealed that Arshad had previously attempted a similar crime in Jaipur but failed, later bringing his family to Lucknow under false pretenses.
Arshad's father, Mohammed Badar, who is also a suspect, remains at large as police continue their search using surveillance and raids.
