Man Charged With Three Counts of Attempted Murder After A146 Three-Car Crash
Norfolk Police referred the case to the IOPC following earlier welfare contact about a man with three children.

- Tancredo Bankhardt, 40, of Saxon Road in Great Yarmouth, was arrested at the scene of a three-car collision on the A146 between Hales and Loddon at 8:36pm on September 26.
- He faces three counts of attempted murder plus charges of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, assault, and engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour, and is due at Norwich Magistrates’ Court today.
- Two child passengers remain at Addenbrooke’s Hospital after one was airlifted there and another was transferred from Norwich, while a third child has been discharged from hospital in Norwich.
- The male drivers of the other vehicles, a red Honda and a black Audi, were treated at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, with one still receiving care for serious injuries and the other discharged.
- Police received a welfare call at 7:40pm about a man with three children and tried to locate the vehicle, and they are appealing for witnesses quoting incident 485 of September 26.
