Man Charged with Quadruple Murder in Solingen Arson Case

A 39-year-old former tenant faces charges for a deadly fire and machete attack in Germany.

The Wuppertaler prosecutor has charged a man with four counts of murder and eight counts of attempted murder following a March arson attack in Solingen.
The fire claimed the lives of a Bulgarian family, including parents aged 28 and 29 and their two young daughters.
Evidence against the suspect includes surveillance footage and remnants of an accelerant found at the scene.
The accused, previously evicted from the property, is also charged with a machete attack on a 44-year-old man, allegedly linked to a drug dispute.
Authorities have not found evidence of a racist motive, despite the incident evoking memories of a 1993 arson attack in Solingen.
