Overview
- Emergency services attended a collision on the southbound A1(M) near Barton between junctions 57 and 56 that, on Sunday, involved a silver Ford Transit and a silver Volkswagen Golf and left a 22-year-old woman from Newcastle dead.
- North Yorkshire Police initially arrested two men and have released a 23-year-old from Grimsby with no further action while charging a 31-year-old man from Newcastle with murder, attempted grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving.
