Overview

• Met Police charged 43-year-old Alvin Ghati of Uxbridge Road with murder on 8 October, nearly 19 months after Vivienne Baraka’s death.
• He is due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on 9 October.
• Officers and paramedics found Baraka, 35, injured at a home in Riverside Close on 26 March 2024, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
• A post-mortem examination determined she died from compression to the neck.
• Ghati was arrested at the scene, released under investigation, then re-arrested on 8 October and charged.
