Man Charged with Murder of Daughter and Attempted Murder of Her Mother in County Wexford
The accused, Mohammad Shaker Al Tamimi, appeared in court following the fatal stabbing of his eight-year-old daughter and injuries sustained by her mother.
- Eight-year-old Malika Noor Al Katib died from stab wounds sustained during an incident at her home in New Ross, County Wexford, on Sunday night.
- Her mother, Aisha Al Katib, was also injured in the attack but survived with non-life-threatening injuries.
- Mohammad Shaker Al Tamimi, aged 34, has been charged with Malika's murder and the attempted murder of Aisha Al Katib.
- The accused appeared in Gorey District Court, where he was remanded into custody and directed to undergo a psychological evaluation.
- He is scheduled to appear via video link at Wexford District Court on Monday, December 9, as bail cannot be granted in murder cases.
