Overview
- Leanne Akrap, 47, was discovered partially clothed and face down in a Werrington reserve on June 15 after a passer-by alerted police at about 1:15 pm
- Forensic officers believe the body had been in the isolated bushland for several days before it was found
- A second crime scene was set up at a Parkes Avenue unit block, 500 metres from the reserve, where detectives conducted searches and door-knocking
- Bryan Steven Johnson, 47, was arrested at his Hobartville home on June 16 and formally charged with Akrap’s murder
- Detectives from Nepean, the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad and the Missing Persons Unit are leading the inquiry, with autopsy findings expected soon
