Overview
- Officers found the bodies of a man and a woman at a property in Seven Acre Close after a 4:30am welfare call on Tuesday 30 June, and the scene prompted a large emergency response.
- The dead have been formally identified as Adrian Horton, 66, and Uschi Schild, 46, and next of kin have been informed.
- A 58-year-old man, Sean Gray, was arrested at an address on Battle Road, charged with two counts of murder and is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Friday 3 July.
- Surrey Police have opened Operation Newington, say enquiries at the address and surrounding area are ongoing, and they are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with the case.
- Investigators are asking anyone with CCTV, doorbell, mobile phone or dashcam footage to contact police quoting Operation Newington as officers continue inquiries and the case moves toward its initial court hearing.
