Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Allegedly Dousing Pizzeria Workers in Lighter Fluid

Robert Haight, a 61-year-old Palo Alto resident, was arrested for attempting to light two Allegro Pizza employees on fire in Thousand Oaks, California.
Haight allegedly squirted lighter fluid on the employees and chased one of them with a knife while trying to ignite him.
A good Samaritan intervened and knocked Haight unconscious, stopping the attack.
Haight has been charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and assault with a caustic chemical.
Haight's dog was taken to an animal shelter following the incident.
