• Greater Manchester Police say the incident was reported around 9:30pm on 9 September at Heaton Mersey Park in Stockport.
• According to police, the victim reported being forced to the park by a man she believed was armed before she escaped and the suspect fled.
• A 28-year-old man was arrested about an hour after officers were alerted and has been remanded in custody.
• Usama Al‑Sari is charged with rape, sexual assault, kidnap with intent to commit a sexual offence, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, threats to kill, theft and possession of cannabis.
