Man Charged After Fatal Manchester Tram and Van Collision Kills 3-Year-Old Girl

Louisa Palmisano, affectionately known as Lulu, was struck and killed while walking with her parents during a family visit to Manchester.

Rawal Rehman, 35, of Manchester, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following the fatal crash.
The incident occurred on Mosley Street in Manchester city center on Saturday morning, when a van collided with a tram and mounted the pavement.
Three-year-old Louisa Palmisano, nicknamed Lulu, was walking with her parents when she was struck and later succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
Louisa's parents, visiting Manchester from Burnley, described her as their 'only child, whole world,' and 'full of creativity and joy.'
Rehman appeared at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Crown Court on March 26.
