Overview
- MAN officially transitioned from pre-series to full-scale manufacturing of its eTGX, eTGS and eTGL models on June 16 at its Munich main plant.
- A fully integrated mixed-production line allows each truck—whether electric or diesel—to be assembled in about eight hours, with capacity for 100 vehicles daily.
- The company has secured roughly 700 orders for its electric trucks and plans to hand over over 1,000 units by December 2025.
- Equipped with up to six modular NMC battery packs, the eTrucks achieve a range of up to 500 km, with an optional seventh battery extending potential range to 740 km.
- Having invested nearly €400 million in R&D and trained more than 5,000 staff in high-voltage technology, MAN sees its eTrucks as essential to meeting EU CO₂ rules and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 despite their two- to three-times higher price than diesel counterparts.
