According to bystander accounts and social media posts, the wager was for either $6,000 or $60,000, with accounts differing on the exact amount.
Following his leap, the man swam to a nearby gondola, climbed over it to get back onto land, and was cheered on by some bystanders.
The jumper was identified by a friend on TikTok as @Elit3Trainers, a social media account known for opening Pokemon packs, though his real name was not immediately clear.
In response to the incident, representatives from Walt Disney World emphasize that such actions impede the amusement park’s operation and safety, with severe consequences including lifetime bans for more serious violations.
