Man Arrested with Bow and Arrow Near Houses of Parliament

Suspect detained for weapon possession and other offenses; sectioned under Mental Health Act

A man was found with a bow and arrow in his car near the Houses of Parliament on September 25.
He was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, vehicle interference, and breaching Serious Organised Crime and Police Act legislation.
The incident occurred around 6.15am in the Peers car park area of Westminster.
The man has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act and is currently under medical care.
Both the House of Commons and House of Lords were in recess for party conferences at the time, with limited MPs and peers present.
