Man arrested twice in Wisconsin Capitol after demanding to see Gov. Evers while armed, prompts security review

A man brought a handgun into the Wisconsin Capitol and demanded to see Gov. Evers but was arrested for open carry violation.
After posting bail, the man returned hours later with an assault rifle and demanded to see Evers again.
The man was arrested again and taken into protective custody for a psychiatric evaluation.
Gov. Evers' office declined to comment but Capitol police are reviewing security procedures.
The incidents occurred this week and are part of a pattern of threats against public officials nationwide.
