Overview

• A 31-year-old Glenroy man was taken into custody on Monday following the Sunday afternoon shooting opposite Broadmeadows Shopping Centre.
• The victim, a 22-year-old from Meadow Heights, remains in a critical condition at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
• Detectives believe the incident was targeted after the two men were seen arguing minutes earlier in the Coles Broadmeadows car park.
• Shots were fired just before 4pm in the nearby park, with a witness reporting hearing two loud gunshots.
• Police searched a property on Bindi Street in Glenroy on Sunday night and are appealing for CCTV, dashcam footage and information from the public.
