Overview

• A woman in her 30s was sexually assaulted at around 3:45pm on June 11 inside a Finchley Road cinema in north-west London.
• A 67-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted rape on June 17 in Primrose Hill after a public appeal.
• CCTV images showed the suspect, about 5ft 6in tall with dark hair on the sides of his head, wearing a black North Face coat and glasses as he walked towards Swiss Cottage.
• Detective Chief Inspector Paul Ridley called the attack brazen and opportunistic and urged anyone with information to contact police on 101, quoting reference 5365/11JUN.
• Local neighbourhood officers continue patrolling the area and specialist Met Police teams are supporting the victim as the investigation proceeds.
