Overview

• Officers responded around 3:40 p.m. on Aug. 8 to reports of narcotics sales near Fulton Street and 26th Avenue just outside the festival grounds.
• Police with U.S. Park Rangers assistance detained 25-year-old Miles Vivirito of Frazier Park after a brief struggle and recovered suspected drugs on his person and in his vehicle.
• San Francisco police seized what they described as ecstasy, ketamine and LSD intended for sale during the Outside Lands music festival.
• Vivirito was booked into San Francisco County Jail on three counts of drug possession for sale, resisting arrest and a parole violation.
• The arrest caps a week of intensified enforcement in Golden Gate Park that included the seizure of about 100 nitrous oxide tanks during the recent Grateful Dead concerts.
