Overview
- Antoinette Forbes, a 53-year-old associate vice president and head of public affairs at Eli Lilly, was last seen Sept. 4 in the 3200 block of Nebraska Avenue NW and is described as about 5'2" with black hair and brown eyes.
- Friends who checked Forbes’ home found two phones including a work phone, her wallet, laptop, her car in the driveway and her dog Max inside while the front door was unlocked, which family members say makes them believe she did not leave voluntarily.
- The Metropolitan Police Department says the investigation is active, has released a missing-person poster and is asking anyone with information to call 202-727-9099 or text 50411.
- Beaver County, Pennsylvania, officials say a man named Russell Ashford has been taken into custody there but Washington police have not publicly confirmed any link between that arrest and Forbes’ disappearance.
- Friends, colleagues and family have held vigils, distributed flyers and launched fundraising and public appeals to keep attention on the case as investigators continue canvassing and reviewing tips and potential footage.
