The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, with Saxena also found to be carrying a 5-inch knife.
Authorities were alerted by multiple 911 calls about a man walking in traffic and making threats before entering the Walmart.
Police evacuated the store and apprehended Saxena without any reported injuries.
Saxena faces charges including felony harassment and possession of a dangerous weapon.
