Man Arrested for Raping and Impregnating 13-Year-Old Cancer Patient in Maharashtra

Suraj Singh, 29, was apprehended in Bihar and is now in judicial custody as investigations continue under the POCSO Act.

A 13-year-old girl undergoing chemotherapy for brain cancer in Mumbai was found to be pregnant during a routine medical examination.
The accused, Suraj Singh, allegedly raped the victim on three occasions while she was alone at home in Badlapur, Maharashtra.
Singh, who had arranged housing for the victim's family and assisted with her treatment, fled to Bihar but was arrested on April 2, 2025.
Authorities have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and other legal provisions.
The victim is receiving medical care, and police are continuing their investigation to ensure justice is served.
