Overview
- Sahil Kumar, 23, was intercepted by CISF officers at Terminal 3 of IGI Airport on July 7 while posing as a Delhi Police sub-inspector during routine surveillance
- Police seized a Photoshop-crafted Delhi Police ID marked PSI, a forged appointment letter, blank case diary pages and photos of Kumar in uniform from his possession
- During interrogation, Kumar admitted using the false identity to befriend female acquaintances, including serving officers, and spent nights inside the terminal disguised as an officer
- Delhi Police registered an FIR under forgery, impersonation and trespassing statutes and formed a dedicated team to lead the investigation
- Investigators are now reviewing CCTV footage from the terminal to determine whether Kumar engaged in any further illicit activities beyond his impersonation
