Man Arrested at West Chester Protest Charged with Mass Destruction After 13 Pipe Bombs Found

The discovery of 13 improvised explosives in his Malvern home prompted prosecutors to revoke his bail.

  • On June 16, FBI, ATF and Montgomery County bomb squad agents executed a search warrant at his Conestoga Road residence and uncovered 13 homemade pipe bombs along with bomb-making sketches and detonator components.
  • Investigators also seized an AR-15–style rifle, multiple magazines, tactical vests with bullet-resistant panels, a bayonet knife, pepper spray, a ski mask and gloves from Krebs’s home and vehicle.
  • Krebs has been rearrested and is being held without bail on 13 counts of weapons of mass destruction, 13 counts of possession of an instrument of crime, one count of causing a catastrophe and one count of reckless endangerment.
  • He told investigators he armed himself for protection after media reports of violence, and prosecutors continue to probe his motives and any potential threat.
