Overview

• Police were called about 7:45pm AEDT to Georges River Road near Brighton Avenue after reports of gunfire.
• About 9:30pm, officers arrested a man in a building on Georges River Road and seized firearms.
• NSW Ambulance said a man in his 50s suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to Canterbury Hospital before being transferred.
• Three other people sustained minor injuries, with some presenting at Campsie Police Station for treatment.
• NSW Police said multiple shots were fired, including at police vehicles, and specialist units with an armoured vehicle and helicopter locked down the area with road closures and diversions.
