• On May 3 the four-week-old infant was taken to an Adelaide hospital with a swollen leg that led to discovery of multiple bone fractures
• South Australia Police arrested a 33-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman from Reynella East on Tuesday
• Both have been formally charged with criminal neglect and recklessly causing serious harm in relation to the child’s injuries
• The pair were granted bail and will appear before Christies Beach Magistrates Court on September 30
• Authorities say all individuals involved in the baby’s care were known to one another
