Man and Four-Year-Old Boy Killed in Two-Car Crash in Brisbane

The crash occurred at the intersection of Rickertt Road and Chelsea Road, with police urging witnesses to come forward.

A 37-year-old man and a four-year-old boy lost their lives in a collision between two vehicles in Brisbane's Bayside suburb of Ransome.
The crash took place just before 9am at the intersection of Rickertt Road and Chelsea Road on Sunday, January 26, 2025.
The man, driving a blue Holden Commodore, died at the scene, while the boy, a passenger in the same vehicle, succumbed to his injuries at Queensland Children’s Hospital.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 29-year-old man in a red Mitsubishi Lancer, sustained minor injuries and was treated at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Queensland Police's Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident and has appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to assist their inquiries.
