Overview

• Gregory Hudson, 65, faces felony counts of murder, concealing a homicidal death, aggravated kidnapping, arson and aggravated criminal sexual assault with a firearm, according to police.
• Firefighters and officers found a 36-year-old woman burned outside a garage at 6539 S. Damen Ave. just after midnight Thursday.
• An autopsy determined she died from gunshot wounds; a police report says she had been shot in the back of the head and stomach and had accelerant on her body.
• Police documents state investigators linked Hudson to an alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of a 27-year-old woman in Roseland within about an hour of the Englewood fire response.
• Hudson was arrested Thursday afternoon in Morgan Park and was scheduled to appear at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse on Sunday afternoon.
