Overview
- Duncan Edwards, formerly known as Duncan Diggle, was charged on September 9 with one further count of rape and two counts of indecent assault.
- He now faces 29 charges in total linked to alleged conduct over about 40 years.
- The counts include 12 rapes, six causing actual bodily harm, three causing a female over 13 to engage in penetrative sexual activity, procuring sex by threat or intimidation, voyeurism, kidnap, and drug supply offences.
- Edwards, currently of Swan Grove in Chappel, Colchester and previously of Farnworth in Bolton, is due at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Friday, September 12.
- Detective Inspector Lydia George said the team is progressing inquiries at pace and urged reports via the Op Norwich page on the Major Incident Public Portal or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
