Overview

• Officers received a call around 2:45–2:48 a.m. reporting that a man had fallen from a dock and gone underwater.
• Initial police and fire responders were unable to locate the individual during the early-morning search.
• A coordinated effort involving the New Baltimore patrol boat, Harrison Township Fire Department, the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Coast Guard located him deceased underwater.
• The recovery took place on Lake St. Clair by New Baltimore in southeast Michigan, roughly 41 miles northeast of Detroit.
• The New Baltimore Police Department says the case remains under investigation, with the cause and circumstances not yet disclosed.
