Overview

• Emergency services, including the Great North Air Ambulance attending by road, were called to Westerton Green in Hardwick at about 8:45pm on Sunday, October 12.
• Paramedics treated the 27-year-old and transported him to hospital with life-threatening stab injuries after alerting Cleveland Police.
• Officers established a cordon and conducted forensic searches overnight, with police remaining at the scene into Monday.
• A witness reported three to four males in balaclavas attacking the man, including one on a push bike carrying a large blade described as a machete.
• No arrests have been reported, and police are asking for CCTV or doorbell footage via 101 quoting SE25196268 or through Crimestoppers.
