Man, 23, Shot to Death During Backyard Argument in Chicago Lawn as Suspect Is Taken Into Custody

Police say the killing stemmed from a personal dispute now under investigation.

Officers responded just before 2:15 a.m. Sunday to the 6400-block of South Fairfield Avenue in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.
The argument between the men turned physical before the 26-year-old fired, striking the 23-year-old in the chest.
Chicago Fire Department paramedics took the victim to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Responding officers arrested the 26-year-old at the scene, and police say charges are pending.
