Overview
- Each registered Durga Puja committee in West Bengal will receive a grant of ₹1.10 lakh this year, up from ₹85,000 in 2024.
- An estimated 45,000 committees are set to benefit, pushing total state expenditure on the festival subsidy programme past ₹400 crore.
