Published criteria assign fixed weights to judging, streaming, sales, with Album of the Year limited to releases that sold at least one million copies.

Overview

  • The two-day ceremony is set for November 28–29 at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong.
  • Releases must fall between October 1, 2024 and September 30, 2025 to be eligible.
  • Artist of the Year uses 40% judging, 30% streaming/downloads and 30% physical sales, Song and genre awards use 40% judging and 60% streaming/downloads, and Best Music Video and Best Choreography are 100% judging.
  • Fans’ Choice Round 1 runs through October 26 at 11:59 p.m. KST to narrow each gender category to 20 artists, followed by Round 2 from October 30 at 6 p.m. KST to November 10 at 11:59 p.m. KST using 90% Mnet Plus votes and 10% X votes, with the final Fans’ Choice of the Year adding a 10% realtime Mnet Plus component.
  • Headline nominees include Baekhyun, G-Dragon, j-hope, Jin and Mark for Best Male Artist, and Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, Taeyeon and Yuqi for Best Female Artist.
