Overview

• North Yorkshire Police said the crash happened at about 7.15am on Friday near Dishforth Airfield.
• The collision involved a red Fiat 500, a white HGV milk tanker and a John Deere tractor.
• Officers reported the Fiat and tractor were heading south toward Boroughbridge, while the tanker was traveling north toward Thirsk.
• The Fiat’s driver, a 70-year-old man from Malton, died at the scene; the HGV driver, 45, from Stockton, sustained minor injuries and the 57-year-old tractor driver was uninjured.
• Police expect the A168 to remain closed until about 6pm for investigation and recovery, and they are asking witnesses to email [email protected] or [email protected] quoting reference 12250177124; Yorkshire Ambulance Service thanked members of the public who assisted.
