Mallorca Airport Eases Security Process for Travelers

New measures allow passengers to keep laptops and liquids in hand luggage, streamlining security checks.

Palma de Mallorca Airport has implemented new scanners that enable travelers to leave electronic devices and liquids in their hand luggage during security checks.
The security checkpoint has been relocated to the same level as the check-in counters, eliminating the need for passengers to use escalators or elevators.
These changes aim to reduce congestion and delays, particularly during peak times when budget airlines have early morning flights.
Despite these improvements, the 100-milliliter limit for liquid containers in hand luggage remains in force.
In the coming months, the number of body scanners at the airport is set to increase from 9 to 22, further enhancing the efficiency of the security process.
