The series is based on May Cobb’s novel and will be filmed in Charlotte, North Carolina, starting this spring.
The plot revolves around Sophie O’Neil who moves her family from the East Coast to east Texas and falls for the charms of socialite Margo Banks, leading to a life of obsession, seduction, and murder.
The show is being executive produced by Rebecca Cutter, known for her work on 'Hightown', and Erwin Stoff of 3 Arts Entertainment.
Åkerman is known for her roles in 'Billions', 'Watchmen', and 'The Comeback'.
